India is projected to be a $3 trillion economy by 2022. Around 325 million people will reach working age by 2022. These people need relevant skills training in various sectors to be productive. This requires skills training modules, which are relevant for the industry in various product and services.
The current education system is not equipped to impart the desired skills. National Skill Development council formed by the government of India and 9 industries bodies is mandated to cerate a PPP module to train 150 million skilled manpower by 2020.
